Steve’s Pizza

A classic late night dive, opened in 1974, Steve’s is a North Miami (Biscayne) counter-order pizzeria with graffiti covered walls. I ordered a NY slice that was served to me by the owner (which is almost always a good sign). The pizza style here is also classic: very thin, crisp, yet foldable New York slices. The sauce is a bit sweet and also on the thicker end with some noticeable tomato chunks. They use thin cut pepperoni that nonetheless curls up into beautiful pepperoni cups. Overall, it was an impressively flavorful greasy slice. Recommended.
