Northslice serves New York-style pizza, though its version is a little thicker and more substantial than the typical New York slice (this is the midwest after all). The crust is still thinish and foldable, but it has a noticeably salty flavor and enough structure to support the generous layer of cheese and toppings.

The sauce has a mild spicy edge that gives the pizza more character than the average neighborhood pie. The cheese is flavorful, the pepperoni is plentiful, and everything tastes like it is made from better-than-average ingredients. Also, it's a well-balanced pizza: No single component dominates; the crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings work well together.

Northslice is a little more expensive than the typical local pizzeria, but the quality justifies the price. It may not be a textbook New York slice, but it is one of the better pizzas available in Cincinnati.
