Pomodori’s
Cincinnati · New York Style · Apr 2010

Pomodori’s has a sprawling menu, but unlike many restaurants that try to do too much, everything I have tried has been good. It is also one of Cincinnati’s original wood-fired pizzerias, offering the style long before wood-burning ovens became common around the city.
Pomodori’s makes both wood-fired and traditional pizza, and handles both styles well. The wood-fired crust is light and flaky, with relatively little char. The sauce is excellent, and the topping selection ranges from the traditional combos to considerably more adventurous ones. More importantly, the ingredients always taste fresh.
The wood-fired pizza is the more distinctive experience, but the traditional pizza is the better value. It's also one of the best "New York" style pies in the city. Both are worth trying. Pomodori’s is one of the rare pizzerias that successfully offers two genuinely different styles of pizza.
