Whole pie edge-to-edge with cup-and-char pepperoni, Mad Anthony

Mad Anthony’s Pizza (Covington, KY) General “Mad” Anthony Wayne earned his nickname from his battlefield aggression and a refusal to compromise. According to DC Comics, one of his direct decendents is the elusive Gotham-based billionaire Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile in Covington, Chef Anthony Notaro named his Mad Anthony’s pizzeria after a neck tattoo. I feel General Wayne & Batman would approve.

We recently Doordashed a pizza from Anthony. Tony makes a thin New York style pizza, with a flat cornicione. The crust is semolina flour-dusted and less well done than many, though with a good flavor. As is clear for the images, the highlight was the generous pepperoni. You might say small cup & char pepperoni was spread with reckless abandon - edge to edge. Very tasty & a quality pizza experience (my dinner companion - Calm Anthony - fully agreed.)

Mad Anthony’s currently has a location at Covington Yard but is also planning to open up in downtown Cincinnati on 8th street (the old Voodoo Brew Pub) - a welcome addition to downtown.
