L’Industrie Pizzeria (Little Italy) - When I first reviewed @lindustriebk original Williamsburg location in September 2021, I scored it an 8.3/10 and described it as one of New York’s best slice shops. Since then, @lindustriebk has evolved from a Brooklyn pizza nerd favorite into a certified pizza phenomenon, with lines that regularly stretch around the block. It is, indeed, a pillar of the “line economy”.
Fortunately for me, I happened to pass the new Little Italy location during a rare 11:30 lull. I went with the L’Industrie Slice slice (a titular slice, is often the move). Topped with Prosciutto di Parma, burrata, basil, olive oil, and grated cheese, it balances richness and restraint. The burrata is abundant but remarkably light, with a pleasant hot/cold contrast. The crust is thin, but not excessively so, with a crisp but not too crisp finish - some respectable charring.
Overall, an excellent slice - topping pretty much all of the small chains in NYC (with apologies to the very well-named “Joe’s Pizza”). Recommended, if you can handle the wait.

An artfully charred New York slice in Williamsburg. L’Industrie serves a New York style pizza with some pronounced Neapolitan influences. It’s distinguished by a particularly thin crust that’s a bit more well done than a classic NY slice and rather crisp. The burrata slice (pictured here from September ‘21) is a real winner - this is definitely one of the best by-the-slice places in the city.
