Frankie’s Pizza

This is a very old school pizzeria (founded in 1955) located just outside Miami. They serve a thin grandma style at $2 per slice - an exceptional bargain compared to their Miami competition. The slice was well-done, with a oil-fried bottom, and thick cut pepperoni (it was on the greasier end of the pizza spectrum). The crust was quite crisp, with no bend to it. There’s no indoor seating at Frankie’s, so these pics are lit by the Miami sun, with the slice resting safely on my car’s trunk. Frankie’s was definitely a cool destination to visit; it felt like a historically important pizzeria to me.
